What the basic course includes
Structured 5-week curriculum
High quality videos
4 basics classes per week
Access to morning and lunch all-levels classes
Access to fundamentals classes
Gym access during opening hours
How the classes are structured
Every class starts with a light warmup. You learn how to move, roll and fall properly to avoid injuries. In addition to that there are also warmup drills where you learn essential movement skills for BJJ.
After the warmup you learn two techniques from a basic position. The focus is on effective techniques that are easy to learn.
At the end of the class you can put what you learned to the test during positional sparring, where you start the round from the position that you just learned.
What you will learn
After the basic course you should be familiar with all the common positions and know techniques that you can apply against a resisting opponent. At this point you are ready to move on to our BJJ fundamental classes where you will learn everything from our white to blue belt curriculum.
Basic course class times
You can also participate in our all-levels classes in the morning and over lunch, even if you are completely new to the sport.
You can also try our fundamentals classes if you want to, but keep in mind that these classes are more difficult than our basic course. We do recommend completing the basic course before joining the fundamentals classes regularly if that is possible with your training schedule.
